Rainwater Harvesting

Lake Bosworth Passive House

Status: Construction started spring 2023

The clients requested an accessible home with a modern aesthetic in the mountains that takes advantage of the views of Lake Bosworth, Mount Pilchuck, and the Three Fingers. CAD drawings, exterior and interior Sketchup models, and WUFI models were used for this project.

The primary bedroom suite protrudes from the main volume of the home and is clad in charred Shou Sugi Ban wood. The suite appears to be on stilts, lending to a tree house effect.

The large east-facing deck and patio orient the house towards spectacular views and create ample space for hosting outdoors.

The ADU level will be occupied by temporary guests and potentially a live-in caretaker in the future.
