Queen Ann Net-Positive Energy

Basically a new house on an existing foundation, on a very narrow lot. This house will be wrapped in a blanket of exterior insulation and is aiming to be net-positive energy. The asymmetrical roof allows for more solar panels on the south side and provides roof deck access via a comfortable stair.

A modern take on classical features will adorn this house, to give a since of elegance and poise.

A roof deck, protected by tall glass panels should provide sweeping views of the Olympic mountains.

To maximize ceiling heights and to bring in as much light as possible, the floor-ceiling assembly will be made of giant wood panels called CLT (cross-laminated timber).

A very small DADU with loft is elevated above the parking stall and storage.
