A second floor addition to an existing brick-clad house. A covered upper floor west facing deck is expected to have 180 degree views of the Puget Sound. A band of diagonal burnt-wood siding forms the transition from old to new. A lime white-wash over the existing brick will brighten the composition, while retaining warmth and scale.
